BRISTOL, CONN., Sept. 18, 2023 – Horror takes center stage beginning this weekend at Lake Compounce as the park introduces its second season of Phantom Fall Fest, packed with more thrills and frights. Brave guests are invited to take screams to the extreme with thrills by day, frights by night as the park introduces all-new scare zones, a completely reimagined haunt, mAlice in Wonderland 3D and more horror around every corner.
Beginning this Saturday, September 23, America’s First Amusement Park will welcome visitors back to its second-annual Phantom Fall Fest Halloween event which promises to up the ante with more frights and more mayhem throughout its four haunted houses and four scare zones, all included for free with park admission. New for 2023, Lake Compounce has increased the number of scare actors, introduced two new scare zones and a completely reimagined haunted house. Thrill-seekers can expect:
· mAlice in Wonderland 3D: The all-new immersive experience will transport unsuspecting guests down the rabbit hole through the vortex and into a three-dimensional world where evil inhabits a twisted wonderland.
· Deadsville: Where once stood a quaint Main Street has now been overtaken by an unforgiving zombie virus. As day turns to night, unsuspecting park-goers must pass through this nightmarish realm and meet the undead awaiting them.
· Sinister Circus: An ominous feeling awaits unsuspecting party guests as they enter this newly transformed bar. Greeted by horrifying jesters, visitors 21 plus can indulge in blood bag cocktails, Jell-O shot syringes and cranium cocktails so long as they can brave the evil jokers awaiting them.
“We have cranked the scare level up 10 notches this season,” said Doug Hemphill, General Manager. “Phantom Fall Fest has returned to the park with more scares across all of our haunted attractions, more food and beverage offerings and more theming throughout the park. We can’t wait for our guests to see what we have in store for them within our reimagined and fully immersive Halloween experience.”
Daringly delicious bites can be found throughout Phantom Fall Fest with options ranging from sweet treats like Zombie Funnel Cakes to savory turkey legs. Frightful bites including dirt cups, poisoned candy apples and seasonal fall cupcakes will all take center stage in the park’s Sweet Shoppe and for those looking for a pumpkin treat, pumpkin flavored ice cream will be served at Main Gate Creamery.
Phantom Fall Fest will feature family-friendly activities throughout the day including rides, then at 6 p.m., the fear kicks into gear with four scare zones and four haunted houses. Phantom Fall Fest will run every Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. from September 23 – October 29 and Fridays from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. from October 1 – October 27.
