NAUGATUCK, CT — According to Rankings website Niche.com, Naugatuck is the No. 123 best place to live in Connecticut.

Niche.com gives Naugatuck an overall "B+" score, and Naugatuck receives an "A-" for both its diversity and a "B+" for its nightlife being good for families. Naugatuck was ranked #19 in Best Places to Raise a Family in New Haven County, according to Niche.com.

Naugatuck received a "B-" for its public schools, housing and crime and safety.

According to Niche.com, the median average home value in Naugatuck is $197,800 and the rent is $1,167 a month. The median household income in Naugatuck is $86,900.

Naugatuck is ranked No. 41 in "Places with the Lowest Cost of Living in Connecticut," No. 75 for "Most Diverse Places to Live in Connecticut" and No. 108 for "Best Places For Young Professionals In Connecticut." (Read more about Naugatuck's rankings here).

West Hartford was once again deemed to be the No. 1 place to live in CT for 2023. The Hartford suburb garnered an overall "A+" grade, and copped top marks for its public schools, family friendliness, and the health/fitness of its residents.
