Hole in The Wall Theater Presents Its First Production of 2022

Kicking off this season is Sam Shepard's tale of past secrets worming their way into the present, Heartless!

New Britain’s Hole in The Wall Theater is excited to present its first live stage production of 2022. Not only is this the first production of the year, it is also the beginning of Hole in The Wall Theater’s milestone 50th anniversary season.

Kicking off this season is Sam Shepard’s tale of past secrets worming their way into the present, Heartless! We follow 65-year-old Roscoe, a teacher of Cervantes literature, as he begins an affair with the younger Sally. Living with Sally is her sister, Lucy, her unfiltered mother, Mabel, and the mysterious, mute nurse, Elizabeth. The longer Roscoe stays with this California family, the more he learns that there is much more below the surface that they would rather have stay buried from others and each other.

The show opens on January 14th and will run for three weekends on Saturdays and Sundays at 8pm, with one 2pm matinee on Sunday, January 23rd. Tickets are available now at www.hitw.org for $25 ($20 for students and seniors) and the traditional Pay-What-You-Can Weekend on Friday, January 21st to the Sunday matinee.
