More Than 500,000 Lights Are Set to Light Up America's First Amusement Park for 2023 Holiday Season

New England’s Favorite Holiday Tradition, Holiday Lights Opens at
Lake Compounce November 24

BRISTOL – Lake Compounce is bringing back New England’s favorite holiday tradition as the park hosts its 11th annual Holiday Lights event. Visitors can make their season sparkle at Connecticut’s home for the holidays starting Friday, November 24 at 5 p.m.

Taking center stage is Connecticut’s Tallest Christmas Tree, standing at 100 feet tall and lighting up the park’s main gate with more than 120 thousand lights, the tree will be the backdrop for what is sure to be the most magical time of the year at America’s First Amusement Park. This season, holly jolly visitors are encouraged to indulge in all that is merry and bright as they meet Santa Claus himself in the park’s stunning Starlight Theater. That’s not all, families are invited to experience the magic of the holidays as they enjoy a spectacular light show at the main gate and stroll through the fully decorated park featuring more than 500,000 lights and light displays.
“Our team will be rounding out the 2023 season with our 11th annual Holiday Lights,” says General Manager Doug Hemphill. “As a staple in the New England community, Holiday Lights has provided entertainment and timeless memories for families in and around Connecticut for more than a decade and we are thrilled to bring this tradition back to the park once again.”

In addition to several unique light displays, and the park’s stunning light show, guests can enjoy a variety of rides and attractions, including the carousel, Boocifer’s Haunted Holiday at Ghost Hunt, the North Pole Express and so much more. Plus, several unique activities will take place throughout the park including Make Your Own Snow Globe, Storytime with Ellie Peppermint, Personalized Ornaments and more.
