Holy Saturday in the Borough [PHOTOS]

Photos taken in Naugatuck of Saturday morning preparations for Easter Sunday

Naugatuck, CT - Naugatuck residents were busy on Saturday morning getting ready for Easter celebrations.

The two annual Easter egg hunts sponsored by the Holy Name Society were held at St. Vincent Ferrer Roman Catholic Church. Blessing of the Easter food was held at both of the Catholic Churches in the borough; pictured above is the ceremony at St. Vincent. Click here for more information about the Polish tradition. After the egg hunt and the blessing of the food at St. Vincent, families headed to the Family Center for Easter egg coloring.

Also pictured above is the annual flower sale sponsored by Local 1219 at the Naugatuck Fire Headquarters on Old Firehouse Road, some Easter decorations at St. James Cemetery on Cross Street, and the window decorations at Edible Dreams Custom Cakes.
