Home Invasion, Robbery Leads To 2 Arrests: Naugatuck Police

The two accuseds are being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Two Bridgeport men have been charged after a reported home invasion and robbery, Naugatuck police said.

At noon Monday, police responded to an apartment located at 39 Horton Hill Road for a possible home invasion/robbery incident, police said. It was reported that three armed masked males entered the apartment and held three female occupants at gunpoint while they proceeded to take over $14,000 in cash, dozens of high-end sneakers, 3 video game consoles, and a laptop, police said.

There were no reported injuries from the robbery. The suspects then fled in a vehicle and through a cell phone, they were tracked back to Bridgeport where Naugatuck and Bridgeport police began to check the area, police said.

In a short time, Detectives saw one of the suspects with property taken from the Naugatuck robbery, police said. At that point, Bridgeport and Naugatuck police attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, however it fled briefly before the occupants ran from the vehicle on foot, police said.

Police arrested two of the four vehicle occupants immediately and recovered numerous evidential items including a firearm believed to have been used in the Naugatuck robbery, police said.

Naugatuck police detectives are continuing to work closely with Bridgeport police to identify other suspects and additional arrests are expected, police said. The case continues to be active and Naugatuck Detectives are looking into aspects such as how and why the victims of this incident came to be targeted and what connection if any they may have with the offenders, police said.

All the accuseds are being held on $500,000 bond.
