People’s United Center for Women & Business at Quinnipiac University to present June 10 webinar, ‘Hope, Resilience and Healing During Adversity’
HAMDEN, CT – The People’s United Center for Women & Business at Quinnipiac University will present the free professional development webinar, “Hope, Resilience and Healing During Adversity,” from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10. Register in advance at bit.ly/2AAHydg.
The featured speakers will be Nicole Davison, an adjunct professor in the career development office in the School of Business at Quinnipiac and founder of NMD Career Consulting, LLC, a private career counseling practice, and Trish Kelly, an instructor of management at Quinnipiac. They will lead an interactive discussion to help participants focus on different ways to increase their skills while preparing for the future. Attendees will explore, discuss and document strategies they have used to successfully navigate change, increase self-awareness and focusing on resilience and career trajectory.

Davison started her career in marketing and sales for Fortune 500 companies, including Automatic Data Processing and Kforce Inc., where she gained corporate sales and marketing experience and an understanding of a variety of industries. Her experience within the staffing industry as a marketing consultant and a corporate trainer influenced her decision to pursue a formal education in counseling to focus her expertise in career counseling. Over the past 15 years, she has worked with college students, career changers, women returning to the workforce and recent college graduates.
Kelly has spent more than a decade managing people and projects at a Fortune 50 managed care organization. She started teaching at the college level in 2008 with a focus on human resource management. Her areas of expertise and research include project management, change management, generational awareness, women in leadership roles, and increasing emotional intelligence and self-awareness. Her areas of expertise include portfolio management relative to process improvement, innovative course design, group facilitation, coaching and counseling.
