House Fire Leads To 2 Injuries: Naugatuck Fire Department
One firefighter was injured while battling the blaze.
NAUGATUCK, CT β The Naugatuck Fire Department responded to several calls for service on Tuesday afternoon.
In a social media post, they wrote, "Busy afternoon today for as the Naugatuck FD responded to a camp trailer fire in the rear of a house with extension to a shed. Several 20 pound propane cylinders were involved and venting gas. Damage to the rear of the house however occupants were not displaced. The cause is under investigation. Two minor injuries; one to a resident of the house and another to a firefighter. Naugatuck Fire Police assisted in traffic control, Naugatuck EMS also on scene; they are dispatched to all structure fires.
"While finishing up at the call we had an incident at a facility in the Naugatuck Industrial Park. A machine leaked oil and started smoking. No damage to the building; NFD and plant personnel moved the machine outside and extinguished the fire.
