Ice Cream Chain To Open Waterbury Store

A national chain has plans to add a new location.

WATERBURY, CT — A new 1886-square-foot Dairy Queen Grill and Chill is being built on Chase Avenue, according to The Waterbury Republican-American. The store is anticipated to open in early 2020.

A developer said that work is moving forward on the foundation, sewer, and plumbing. The land the Dairy Queen will be constructed on was sold for $700,000, according to The Republican-American.

Dairy Queen Grill and Chill will serve the ice cream parlor classics alongside grill options like hot dogs and burgers.

This will be the 37th Dairy Queen to open in the state. It will be the first location to open in Waterbury, with the nearest current location in Milldale.
