Ivoryton Playhouse Announces Young Performer Auditions

Casting performers 8 – 15 years old in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Ivoryton, CT – January 20th, 2025

Ivoryton Playhouse is excited to announce a casting call for young performers to be featured in the children’s chorus of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat! Performers 8 – 15 years old are invited to audition on February 15th, 2025.

Auditions will occur from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ivoryton Playhouse Administrative Offices:
22 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT 06409.

Performers should bring a headshot and resume and prepare a brief selection of a pop/rock song (16 – 32 bars). Short movement auditions will be scheduled during the last 15 minutes of each hour block. More information about these auditions and the 2025 season is available at ivorytonplayhouse.org.

Rehearsal for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will occur from June 10th to June 25th; previews begin June 26th, and opening night is June 27th. The show closes on July 27th. There will be seven performances each week, and all participants must be available for at least three performances a week. The performance schedule is:

Wednesdays – 2 pm
Thursdays – 2 pm and 7:30 pm
Fridays – 7:30 pm
Saturdays – 2 pm and 7:30 pm
Sundays – 2 pm
*Note: there is no performance on Friday, July 4th.
