Katharine Hepburn’s Former Tennis Coach Speaks at the Kate August 7

Mr. Conroy will share items in his personal collection and reminisce about his time spent coaching Miss Hepburn on her tennis game.

OLD SAYBROOK, CT - The Katharine Hepburn Museum presents a talk by former Fenwick tennis pro and Miss Hepburn’s instructor, Kevin Conroy, on Sunday, August 7 at 1:00 pm in the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center theater, 300 Main Street, Old Saybrook.

Mr. Conroy will share items in his personal collection and reminisce about his time spent coaching Miss Hepburn on her tennis game starting in 1983. From the car ride to the court in his old station wagon; to the special double-bounce rule Miss Hepburn insisted upon; to finding himself paddling a canoe with her for a scene in the documentary “All About Me,” these memories will delight longtime fans, as well as those just discovering Miss Hepburn’s story.
