Kicking off 2021 with Some Good News from Simply Smiles

In Oaxaca, the kids kicked off 2021 with a Three Kings Day celebration, full of colorful decorations, great food, and, of course, Rosca de Reyes (or King Cake)! Our loving, attentive staff at the Children's Village are doing an incredible job keeping everyone safe and maintaining a sense of normalcy and routine. Now the primary task at hand: Resuming the school semester, remote learning, and homework.

And, more good news to share about the expansion of the Mexico Children's Village - stay tuned!

After a tumultuous year, we celebrated our first Christmas and holiday season at the Simply Smiles Children's Village on the Reservation! Bryan, Hallie, Zach, Jasmine, Marcella, and Kristen helped to create a relaxing, fun holiday for the foster children in our care. It remains so important to provide a warm, stable environment where youth feel safe. And, no matter how long they stay at the Simply Smiles Children's Village, we hope to create special, lasting memories, and, maybe, make new traditions for them. From the physical construction of the first foster home to providing funds for Christmas gifts to supporting mental health resources, a huge THANK YOU to the Simply Smiles community for being tireless advocates for this initiative!

And, as you may remember for our last update or social media posts, we've started construction on foster home #2! Well, things are happening! Stay tuned - lots of exciting media to share soon.
