LaBonne's Markets' Round Up Program Raises Funds for Food Banks
The program ended on Monday, raising $11,761.16 from the public rounding their total to the nearest dollar at the register.

WATERTOWN, CT - In March, LaBonne's Markets launched a new register donation event called Round Up Program. LaBonne's customers were given the option of rounding their total to the nearest dollar, with 100% of the proceeds going to local food banks in need.
The program ended on Monday, raising $11,761.16 from the public. Because the first $10,000 was matched by LaBonne's CEO Bob LaBonne Jr. the grand total reached $21,761.16.
Jared Andrews, a marketing director, shared that the everyone at LaBonne's was extremely pleased with how the program has turned out.

The stores will be sending money to the food banks in the towns in which our stores serve including Watertown, Prospect, Woodbury, and Salisbury, as well as the Waterbury United Way and the Morris food bank.
Mr. Andrews added: "We cannot thank our loyal shoppers enough for generously donating at checkout and even via their to go orders. The money will be divided amongst many of the local food banks in our surrounding towns and communities, bringing food to the tables of families who have been at risk of going hungry during these unprecedented times. Thank you all again for the support and generosity."
