Large Bear Den Spotted In Naugatuck: Animal Control

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Animal Control said Thursday that they have learned of a large bear den on Elm Street.

"At least three bears are known to be in the den at this time," animal control staff said. "Please watch your children and keep your cats indoors and dogs on leashes at all times. We ask that you also please educate your children that a fence is there for safety, do not go over a fence or go through a hole to go on an adventure! And of course....never poke a sleeping bear. DEEP has also been notified."
