Landmark Community Theatre presents the comedic play, “LOVE, SEX, and the IRS” March 5th through 20th at the Thomaston Opera House. Join LCT as it presents the hilarious farce, “Love, Sex, and the IRS” running March 5ththrough March 20st at the Thomaston Opera House with evening performances beginning at 8 p.m. and matinee performances at 2 p.m.

Leslie Arthur and Jon Trachtman are out of work musicians who room together in 1970s New York City. To save money, Jon has been filing tax returns listing the pair as married. Which is comical in and of itself because they are both men. The day of reckoning comes when the Internal Revenue Service informs the “couple” they’re going to be investigated. Leslie must masquerade as a housewife, aided by Jon’s fiancée, Kate in order to keep the two friends from going to jail.

Complicating matters further, Leslie and Kate are having an affair behind Jon’s back, Jon’s mother drops in unexpectedly to meet her son’s fiancée, and Leslie’s ex-girlfriend shows up demanding to know why Leslie has changed and won’t see her anymore. This hilarious comedy written by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore is full of mistaken identities, love quadrangles, and sight gags that will have audiences laughing-out-loud.
