The LEGO Group Donates LEGO® Replay brick boxes to All Waterbury Public Schools First Graders In Collaboration with The Connecticut State Department of Education and Give Back Box
Waterbury, CT- The LEGO Group has made a generous donation of 1,650 LEGO Replay brick boxes to Waterbury Public Schools through its LEGO Replay Program, which shares “previously loved” LEGOs with non-profits across the United States.
“We are grateful to the LEGO Group and the Connecticut State Department of Education for choosing Waterbury Public Schools to be part of this generous and creative initiative,” said Superintendent Verna D. Ruffin. “Creative play allows children to tap into their own ingenuity while learning to problem solve. We know that these brick boxes will bring a great deal of joy to our first graders during this challenging time.”

WPS will distribute the boxes on Monday, June 1.
The LEGO Group is proud to partner with WPS, other Connecticut school districts and the Connecticut Department of Education. LEGO Replay launched last fall and is made possible by the legions of American LEGO fans who donate their “previously loved” bricks to ensure all kids can enjoy the power of play. Their partner Give Back Box cleans these highly durable bricks to ensure they are ready for their new homes.
