Light the Night Downtown Festival Tonight

Naugatuck, CT - Naugatuck will begin the holiday season with the borough's annual LIGHT THE NIGHT DOWNTOWN FESTIVAL on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm along Church Street, between Maple Street and Rubber Avenue, and Old Firehouse Road in the downtown section of Naugatuck.

There will be hayrides, live music, vendors, ice sculpting demonstrations and a tree lighting ceremony of the large Christmas tree on the Naugatuck Green.

Santa Claus will be greeting his fans at the municipal parking lot on Church Street, and the celebration will be topped off with a fireworks show.

The 13th annual Festival of Trees sponsored by the United Way will be open during the downtown festival. This event is at the Naugatuck Event Center, 6 Rubber Avenue. The Festival of Trees features beautiful decorated artificial trees and wreaths that are auctioned off to raise money for the United Way of Naugatuck and Beacon Falls. Additional viewing hours are scheduled for Sunday from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Billed as everyone’s favorite Downtown Festival, come join your neighbors for the annual Tree Lighting, visits with Santa, Ice Sculptor, Room 113 playing LIVE, Christmas Caroling throughout the event, BonFires and Fire Barrels, Shopping, Food Trucks Galore. The evening concludes with FIREWORKS. Visit the United Way Festival of Trees at the Naugatuck Event Center just a short walk from the festival.

The snow date for the festival is scheduled for Sunday for the same hours, so hopefully the better weather for Saturday will allow the event to go on as scheduled.
