Liquor Store In Naugatuck Fined For Sale Of Alcohol To Minor

The store's permit also was suspended for a few days, according to the state Liquor Control Commission.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Valley Liquors in Naugatuck recently was fined $1,500, and had its permit suspended for three days, after the state Liquor Control Commission said the store sold alcohol to a minor.

The commission did not release details of the illegal transaction, but the New Haven Road store's permit will be suspended from Jan. 31 through Feb. 2.

According to the commission, liquor stores are disciplined "after either: (1) a formal hearing in which the Liquor Control Commission found a violation of state liquor laws, or (2) entering into a voluntary agreement to settle allegations without a finding of fault."
