Local Frontline Hero Recognized with Portrait
Portraits by ShawnaLee recognized a frontline Hero with a hand drawn portrait during covid 19 shutdown.
Our frontline Heroes are showing a brave front, but the exhaustion is very real.
It was a pleasure to honor Patience Miller, a pharmacy technician in Naugatuck CT, with a Charcoal Portrait in recognition of her dedication to serving the public on the frontlines.
During shutdown, it became incredibly apparent just how vulnerable we all are and how much we need each other as a community. This Portrait was inspired by the need to recognize local heroes who put themselves in harms way before we fully understood the dangers of the covid 19 virus that has run a muck over the world.

Patience shared her reflections that it has been difficult, and mentally exhausting since that fateful March 13th when shutdown occurred. "......... I love the portrait it’s so well done. This pandemic is harder on me then I show, in more ways then one. So this made my day thank you! " Patience Miller . She serves the frontline in direct contact with the public while providing a necessary service in order to help people receive the critical medications that they need. The stress of everyday contact, even with precautions such as masks, and constant hand sanitizing, has been taking a toll on our brave and selfless frontline workers.
The Pandemic Portrait of Patience was created as part of a tribute to honor local heroes in CT and serves as a historical memento of their bravery.
