Location Of Proposed Naugatuck Skateboard Park Changed: Report

Borough officials ​have opted to change the proposed park's location​ after residents raised some concerns.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Borough officials have opted to change the location of a proposed skateboard park from Crown Street to Linden Park after residents raised concerns, Citizen's News reports. A skateboard park was originally built at Linden Park in 2002, but it was removed years later.

According to Citizen's News, Mayor Pete Hess said a condominium association and some people on Crown Street objected to the Crown Street location, which is near Hop Brook Elementary School. Officials also looked at Cedar Park as a possible location, however the space was too small.
