NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A Naugatuck man accused of chasing another man with a knife was arrested Sunday, according to police.

According to an arrest summary provided by police, officers were called to Ward Street around 4:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a man chasing another man with a knife.

When officers arrived in the area, they found John Victor Bento, 18, of Naugatuck, walking down the street. According to police, Bento said he threw the knife, which was later found by officers.

Bento was arrested on charges of carrying a dangerous weapon, risk of injury to a child, second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and second-degree reckless endangerment.

He was held on a $50,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Monday, police said.
