Man Tries To Get Victim To Fight Him: Naugatuck Police

The accused was "yelling and making threats with a metal pipe in front of two juveniles," police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A Naugatuck man, Justin Leary, 39, of Thunderbird Drive is accused of making "threats with a metal pipe in front of two juveniles," police said.

At 6:11 p.m. on April 10, police responded to a report of a dispute at a residence. Police said an argument at the home escalated.

"The accused was yelling and making threats with a metal pipe in front of two juveniles, which caused a scene. The accused was trying to get the victim to fight him in front of the residence. The accused also kicked the driverside door of the victim during the incident," police said in a report.

Leary is charged with risk of injury to a child, third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace. He was released on a $5,000 bond.
