Man Accused Of Sexual Assault, Posts $150K Bail: Naugatuck PD
Initially, the accused was given a $500,000 bond but it was lowered to $150,000, according to court records.
NAUGATUCK, CT β A Stamford man is accused of sexually assaulting a person and was initially held in lieu of a $500,000 bond, Naugatuck police said.
Jean Pierre Vite, 28, of Virgil Street in Stamford is charged with first-degree sexual assault.
Police said at 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 15, Vite was arrested on a warrant, police said. The warrant was for a sexual assault complaint made on July 3, police said.

In a news release, police said, "The accused sexually assaulted the victim, which is known to him."
No other details were released by police.

He appeared in court on Oct. 15 and was released after posting $150,000 bail, according to the state's judicial website.
