Man Almost Hits Police Officers With Car: Naugatuck Police

The accused caused damage to property and almost struck officers on scene, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A Bristol man, Jivon Williams, 24, of William Street, is accused of driving recklessly and almost hit police officers on scene, Naugatuck Police said.

On March 14, Williams was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was from an incident where the accused failed to heed the officer's instructions during a motor vehicle stop, police said. The accused revved his engine and spun his tires while fleeing the scene, police said.

The accused caused damage to property and almost struck officers on scene, police said. The accused was processed and later released on a $5,000 bond.
