Man Assaults Public Safety Officers, Resists Arrest: Naugatuck PD

"This incident happened in a public place with multiple people who were in fear of their own safety," police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A New Jersey man is accused of assaulting public safety personnel and resisting arrest, Naugatuck Police said. Tashon Brown, 30, of New Jersey, was arrested on a probation violation on June 3.

During the arrest process, the accused assaulted public safety personnel, interfered and resisted with the officer during the investigation by trying to flee the scene, police said. This incident happened in a public place with multiple people who were in fear of their own safety due to the accused's behavior, police said.

The accused was processed and held on a $50,000 bond. He is charged with conspiracy to commit assault on a public safety employee, interfering with an officer, conspiracy to commit second-degree breach of peace, criminal attempt at third-degree assault, and violation of probation.
