Man Brings Baseball Bat To Work: Naugatuck Police

The man was involved in a confrontation with a co-worker, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A man is accused of bringing a baseball bat to his job after being involved in a confrontation with a fellow co-worker, Naugatuck police said. On August 14, Jose Bellido, 37, of Pleasant Street in Waterbury, was charged on an arrest warrant, police said.

The warrant was for a disturbance reported on July 18. The accused had a confrontation with a fellow employee and left, police said. Bellido returned to work with a baseball bat, police said. He left the business prior to police officers arrival, police said.

There was no report of the bat being used during the confrontation, police said. He is charged with breach of peace and given a court date of August 21.
