Man Charged With Assault Twice: Naugatuck Police

Police said one of the victim's was pregnant at the time of the incident.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A Naugatuck man Joshua Charles Clossick, 27, of Coen Street, is facing charges after police responded earlier this month to a domestic disturbance, police said.

At 3:25 p.m. on May 14 police said they responded to a local residence. Police said Clossick became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused "struck and choked the victim who was pregnant at the time."

The accused was arrested and held initially on a $10,000 bond and is charged with third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct.

Police also said at 2 p.m. also on May 14 they responded to a domestic dispute involving Clossick.

"The accused became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused struck and choked the victim who is legally blind," Naugatuck police said.

He is also charged with third-degree assault, third-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct. Court records show he has been released from custody.
