Man Charged With DUI, Given $10K Bond : Naugatuck PD

The accused also possessed a controlled substance, police say.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A Shelton man, Joseph M. Hannigan, 32, of New Street, is accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, Naugatuck Police say.

On Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. police stopped a car in the area of Route 8 South at North Main Street, police said. Police say Hannigan was found to be in possession of a controlled substance, and to be operating under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, police said.

Hannigan is charged with possession of a controlled substance and illegally operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

He was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
