Man Didn't Feed Or Give Water To Dog: Naugatuck Police
"The canine was found in the residence and was emaciated and appeared to be starving," police said.
NAUGATUCK, CT β A Naugatuck man, Michael Javier Acevedo Carrion, 22, of Union City Road is charged with cruelty to animals, police said.
On December 5, 2019 animal control officers responded to a Union City Road home for a cruelty to animals complaint, police said.
"Through the officer's investigation, it was found that the accused was abusing his canine by not feeding or providing water to his canine. The canine was found in the residence and was emaciated and appeared to be starving," Naugatuck Police said in a news release.

The canine was brought to a veterinarian for further care, police said. A warrant was written and served on Feb. 26 to Acevedo Carrion for cruelty to animals, police said.
He will appear in Superior Court, Waterbury on March 11.
