Man Displays Pocket Knife During Liquor Store Robbery: Naugatuck Police
The accused is being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond, police said.
At 9:30 a.m. Friday, police responded to D & D Liquors for a reported robbery. It was reported that a male suspect stole a bottle of liquor and displayed a pocketknife during the incident, police said. No injuries were reported.
The suspect fled in a white Jeep before officers arrived. Surrounding agencies were notified with a description of the suspect and vehicle, police said.

The vehicle was later located and stopped in New Haven. The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Alex Lawrence of New Haven, was taken into custody without incident, police said.
He has been charged with robbery, threatening, larceny, and breach of peace, police added in a news release.

Lawrence is being held on a $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court on Monday, April 6, 2026.
