Man Fell Asleep at Gas Pumps Charged with DUI: Naugatuck Police

Police say they initially responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at Cumberland Farms.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A man found sleeping in his car at the gas pumps at Cumberland Farms in Naugatuck has been charged with DUI, police said.

Police said officers responded at 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 3 to the North Main Street business for a suspicious motor vehicle complaint. When officers arrived they found Matthew Dorosh, 30, of Cook Lane in Beacon Falls, sleeping in the driver's seat at the gas pump, police said.

During the investigation it was determined that the accused was driving under the influence, police said.

He is charged with DUI and given a court date of Feb. 16. He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
