Man With Large Knife Resists Arrest: Naugatuck Police
The accused was given a $5,000 bond, police say.
NAUGATUCK, CT β A Waterbury man is facing several charges after being stopped by police in Naugatuck. Keven Bruno, 18, was in a vehicle in the area of Elm Street and Rubber Avenue at at 7:59 p.m. Jan. 7, police said.
"Through the officerβs investigation the accused was found to be operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle with a suspended license while in possession of marijuana and a controlled substance," Naugatuck police said in a statement. "While conducting the arrest the accused interfered with the officer's investigation and resisted arrest. The accused had a large black handled knife with an 18 inch blade within reach and easy access."
Bruno was charged with possession of weapon in motor vehicle, sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and interfering with an officer. He was released on a $5,000 bond.
