Man Shot To Death During Argument At Waterbury Event Hall: Reports

WATERBURY, CT — A man is dead and two other people are injured following a shooting at an event space in Waterbury early Monday morning, according to multiple reports.

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. after an argument between two private parties at So Blu Niq, WFSB reported.

Shaquille Morris, 29, of Waterbury has been identified as the deceased victim, while two others — a 39-year-old woman and a 44-year-old woman — were treated at the hospital and released, according to the outlet.

According to NBC Connecticut, Morris was killed while preparing food for a Mother's Day brunch.

"He was a great person," the family member added to the outlet.
