Man Tries to Steal Truck Making Delivery to Dunkin' Donuts: Naugatuck Police

NAUGATUCK, CT — A man tried to steal a box truck making a delivery to a local Dunkin' Donuts but the victim was able to chase away the suspect at the last minute, police said.

Police say Brandon Fortier, 25, of Waterbury, was charged on a warrant this week for an attempt to steal a motor vehicle.

Police say the victim was making a delivery to Dunkin' Donuts on Bridge Street. The victim parked the box truck and was preparing the delivery when the accused entered the truck and tried to drive away, police said.

The victim was able to chase the accused away from the truck, police said.

Fortier is charged with breach of peace and an attempt to commit second-degree larceny.
