To our Maple Hill families,

Yesterday, you received communication that we will begin our distance learning plan on Monday, March 23rd. Every student at Maple Hill will have the ability to borrow a Chromebook so that they will have access to their teachers and support staff during this time. We will begin loaning Chromebooks on Thursday, March 19th and Friday, March 20th. Your child may have a laptop or tablet at home, but we encourage the use of a school Chromebook due to the pre-loaded apps and program accessibility. All Chromebooks and chargers must be returned to school once distance learning ends. All online learning will use Google Suites.

Parents/guardians (or family members) will drive up carefully to the Maple Hill staff in the front circle and give your child(ren)’s name and teacher. The Chromebook and a charger will be handed to you in the car and you will be required to sign them out. We will take all necessary health precautions to maintain social distancing during the distribution, so please stay in your car and bring your own pen. We have also staggered the distribution times.

If you are in quarantine or have symptoms of fever, cough or flu like symptoms, you should not come to the school, but designate another responsible adult via e-mail to me (Cheryl.Kane@naugatuck.k12.ct.us) on your behalf to pick the Chromebook up or call the school to make other arrangements.

If your child does not have Internet access, please call the school as soon as possible (203)720-5236, and we will make other arrangements for classwork for your child so that they can participate in daily lessons. If you are not able to get to the school for the pick-up, please call or email as soon as possible.
