COVID-19 has brought about a great deal of uneasiness and worry to everyone’s lives, and we want you to know that the safety of our customers and associates is of the utmost importance to us.
Our stores are still open so we can continue to provide essential items to the communities we serve, such as food, cleaning supplies, personal care items, hardware, automotive and other supplies. We are closely following CDC guidelines as well as other federal, state and local guidelines, resulting in some changes to our policies and practices.

CUSTOMER SAFETY:
- Limiting the number of customers in each store at any one time
- Frequent cleaning of all touchpoints
- Dedicated shopping hour each morning for senior citizens and those with compromised immune systems
- Signs throughout each store and at checkouts encouraging and directing social distancing
- Alternate registers in use and markings on the floor to keep customers distanced while waiting to check out
- Regular announcements running over Public Address system in each store to encourage social distancing
- Masks and gloves provided to all associates
- Customer returns suspended as of March 15th until further notice (once we begin accepting returns, any item purchased after March 1st will have an extended 90-day return period)
- Quantity limits on high demand items
SUPPORTING OUR ASSOCIATES:
- Temporary incentive increases for in-store associates, store leadership and distribution center associates
- Providing face masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves to associates during their shifts
- Asking associates to stay home if they feel sick
- Extending health benefits for associates who are currently on our health plans to pay for COVID-19 testing if necessary
- Waiving our associate attendance policy temporarily
- Offering quarantine pay for associates who test positive for COVID-19
- Paid Team Leaders their earned 2019 fiscal year bonuses early
SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITIES:
- Partnering with Feeding America to raise money to provide much needed funding to local food banks
- Committed funds to the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation’s Strike Out Hunger campaign – This campaign has also partnered with Feeding America to help feed underprivileged youth
- Donated to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank to give back to our corporate hometown and birthplace
