Milestone Announcement From Simply Smiles
Providing the Tribe with a "turnkey" childcare facility marks the pinnacle of our 15-year partnership on the Reservation.

This is an historic moment: I am incredibly pleased to announce the successful transfer of the Simply Smiles Children’s Village to the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, positioning them to be one of the few tribal nations with their own Native child welfare program.
Providing the Tribe with a “turnkey” childcare facility marks the pinnacle of our 15-year partnership on the Reservation.
The guiding principle of Simply Smiles is to provide bright futures by empowering the communities we are privileged to work with. This moment exemplifies our dedication to that commitment and aligns with our values of sustainability, self-determination, and respect for Indigenous sovereignty.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who supported the monumental effort to create the children’s village. Your time, hard work, unwavering dedication, and incredible generosity have made this leap forward possible for the Lakota community. I hope that you are as proud of this, and all we have done together on the Reservation, as I am. Via the button below, you can visit our website to learn more about the children’s village and the transfer of ownership and operational responsibilities to the Tribe. The journey to create the children’s village on the Reservation took us into uncharted territory, challenged us, and demonstrated the power of genuine partnership with a community in need. While this marks the successful end of one chapter, it also is the beginning of the next one for Simply Smiles. We will carry forward the strength gained and lessons learned as we continue to provide bright futures at our children’s villages.
