Monsignor James A. Shanley Appointed Administrator

Until further notice, daily Mass has been canceled at Assumption parish as Rev. Lavorgna remains on temporary medical leave.

WOODBRIDGE - Rev. Monsignor James A. Shanley, the Vicar for Clergy of the Archdiocese of Hartford, returned to cover weekend Masses at Our Lady of the Assumption.

Before the Masses that were livestreamed on Saturday and Sunday, the monsignor announced that the Reverend John L. Lavorgna remains on temporary medical leave. Deacon John “Jack” Mordecai and Deacon Victor Lembo continue to serve the parish.

On Feb. 11, 2022, The Most Reverend Leonard P. Blair, S.T.D. announced that Monsignor Shanley was appointed Administrator of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Woodbridge, effective February 7, 2022, in addition to duties as Vicar for Clergy.

Until further notice, daily Mass has been canceled at Our Lady of the Assumption. The parish secretary will contact all those who have scheduled Mass intentions and will reschedule them.
