According to the department, the gun did not have a serial number, "which means it could not be traced and was likely made illegally."

The gun also had an extended magazine that could hold 27 rounds, police said.

Yale was arrested and charged with carrying of pistol or revolver without a permit, weapons in vehicles, possession of a firearm without a serial number and possession of high-capacity magazine.

He was held on a $150,000 bond and appeared in court Monday, according to police.

The department also thanked Bridgeport police for their assistance.
