
The Naugatuck High School baseball team has made the Naugatuck Valley League tournament and is seeded eighth in the eight-team tournament. The 9-9 Greyhounds will play the 19-1 Wolcott Eagles at Wolcott High School at 4 p.m. Monday.
The NHS softball team is seeded fifth in the NVL tournament and will play No. 4-seed Holy Cross at Holy Cross also at 4 p.m. on Monday.
On Thursday, the Naugatuck softball team was led by Gillian Fortier with three hits, including a solo home run in Naugatuck’s 2-1 loss to undefeated Torrington.
Kara Klimaszewski had two hits and Sarah Chandler had a hit for the Greyhounds, who finished the regular season at 14-6.
