Naugatuck Election 2016 Results: Labriola, Rebimbas Re-Elected, Crisco Defeated
On Election Day here's information on all the candidates, polling places and more.

NAUGATUCK, CT — In Naugatuck, state Rep. David K. Labriola soundly won re-election Tuesday night defeating his challenger Scot Flaherty, the Republican-American reports.
Labriola won with more than two-thirds of the vote. State Rep. Rosa C. Rebimbas, a Republican, was unopposed. Labriola said he will continue finding common sense solutions to the state’s troubles in his eighth term representing the 131st district. Labriola took more than 68 percent of the vote over opponent Scott Flaherty, who is an Oxford resident. Read the full Rep-Am story here.
In an upset, long-time State Sen. Joseph Crisco, a Democrat,lost to to George Logan, an Ansonia Republican in the 17th District, the Connecticut Post reports.

Logan defeated Crisco by a margin of 21,146 to 19,741.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Some Naugatuck residents have been turned away from the polls on Election Day, NBC Connecticut reports.
It appears some residents registered via AAA and DMV but there was no record of that at Maple Hill Elementary School.
Residents, who are impacted, are being sent to Town Hall for same-day registration, NBC Connecticut reports.
Naugatuck residents head to the polls on Nov. 8 for the 2016 midterm election. Polling places in Naugatuck close at 8 p.m. On the ballot, registered voters in Naugatuck will be able to select candidates for president and vice president, United States senator, representatives to U.S. Congress, state senator, state representative, and registrar of voters.
In Naugatuck the choice for the 17th Senatorial District involves Democratic candidate Joseph Crisco and Republican candidate George Logan. Crisco is completing his 12th term. Logan, of Ansonia, is the director of environmental management and government relations at Aquarion Water Company.
In the 131st State House District the Democratic candidate is Scott Flaherty and the Republican candidate is David K. Labriola. Labriola is completing his seventh term. Flaherty is an Oxford resident.
For the 70th State House District the Republican candidate Rosa C. Rebimbas is running unopposed. She has been a state representative since March 2009.
Democrat Louise L. Sheedy and Republican Matthew B. Katra are the candidates for registrar of voters.

The candidates for president and vice president are Republicans Donald Trump and Mike Pence, Democrats Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, Libertarians Gary Johnson and Bill Weld, and Green Party Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka.
For United States Senate the candidates are Richard Blumenthal, Democrat, Dan Carter, Republican, Richard Lion, Libertarian, and Jeffrey Russell, Green Party.
For United States Congress the choice is between Incumbent Rosa DeLauro, a Democrat and Angel Cadena, a Republican.
