Naugatuck Fire Department Swears In New Captain
Brandon Johnson, who previously served as a lieutenant for the department, was sworn in as a captain this week by Mayor Pete Hess.
NAUGATUCK, CT — A new captain for the Naugatuck Fire Department was sworn during a ceremony this week, according to fire officials.
In a Facebook post, fire officials said Brandon Johnson, who previously served as a lieutenant for the department, was sworn in as captain Monday night by Mayor Pete Hess.
Johnson's family was also in attendance for the ceremony and helped pin on his new badge, including his brother, Shelby Johnson, who serves as an officer for the Naugatuck Police Department.

In his new position, Johnson will act as the shift supervisor for the "C shift," fire officials said.
