Naugatuck Food Truck Festival 2026 Canceled Due To 'Unforeseen Circumstances'
The 2026 festival previously scheduled for this summer has been canceled "due to unforeseen circumstances," according to an announcement.
NAUGATUCK, CT — The 2026 Naugatuck Food Truck Festival, previously scheduled to take place this summer, has been canceled, according to the annual event's organizers.
In a recent announcement on the event's Facebook page, local nonprofit organization Naugatuck Outreach Partnership said the sixth annual event was canceled "due to unforeseen circumstances."
"This decision was not made lightly," the announcement reads, "as we greatly value the time, preparation and commitment each of you invests in participating. We understand the impact that this cancellation may have and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may cause."

The announcement also thanked residents for their continued support over the past five years.
In an email to Patch, the organization's president, Deb Deptula, confirmed Thursday the nonprofit decided to cancel this year's festival due to personal reasons.

"All of our vendors have been notified," Deptula said, "and if they paid their attendance fee, they have been refunded. The two nonprofits that we have chosen to benefit from the proceeds will still receive a donation from our nonprofit as promised."
According to the event's Facebook page, the 2026 festival was originally scheduled to take place Aug. 29 on the Naugatuck Green and feature a wide variety of activities, as well as "a lineup of incredible food trucks."
