Naugatuck Holds Memorial Day Parade
It was a chilly morning, but many citizens came out to honor those who gave all to defend our country.
MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
Naugatuck, CT - The borough’s annual Memorial Day parade was held on Monday, May 28. The parade began promptly at 9:15 in Union City and followed the usual route to downtown. The parade steps off on North Main St, turns on to Calvin St. and proceeds on High Street. The marchers continue to Maple Street, then to Old Fire House Rd, to Rubber Avenue, turn on to Church St. and finish on Division Street next to the Naugatuck Green.

Marching units in Divisions 1 to 4 assembled on North Main Street, in the vicinity of Union and Woodbine streets. Divisions 5 and 6, as well as all karate and dance groups, assemble in the parking area behind St. Mary Church further down North Main Street.
The Naugatuck Veterans Council sponsored the event.

The annual Memorial Day Mass usually celebrated at 8:00am at St. James Cemetery was moved indoors to St. Vincent Ferrer Roman Catholic Church.
