Naugatuck HS Marching Band School Tour
Band teacher Robert Hughes brought the marching band and color guard to four Naugatuck schools to perform this year's show in concert.
Naugatuck, CT - The students at Andrew Avenue Elementary School were treated to a concert performance of the Naugatuck HS Marching Band's 2017 show entitled FUSION. Band teacher Robert Hughes spoke with the K-4 students about the various instruments that make up the marching band and some of the musicians demonstrated their instrument in solos and small groups. As a finale, the band played the music from the show while the color guard performed their part in place.
The band visited elementary and intermediate school friends throughout the day to show them just how cool music education is to them.
Behind the scenes it was an exciting day in the history of the NHS Marching Band. A day that’s so full of excitement that they could not contain ourselves. They were still not ready to tell as of Saturday morning, but it will be revealed later this afternoon.

Thank you to the band members and the adults who work with them for traveling to the school to perform for the young students in the hopes of sparking an interest to be a part of band in the future.
