Naugatuck Man, 84, Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Juvenile: Police

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck man is being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond and he is accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile, police said. On Sept. 25, Balbino Nieves, 84, of Rubber Avenue was arrested on a warrant, police said.

The warrant was for a sexual assault reported of a juvenile on Aug. 10, police said. The accused inappropriately touched the juvenile victim who is known to the accused, police said. He was held on a court set bond of $250,000 and is charged with first-degree sexual assault and illegally sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16, police said.
