Naugatuck Man Accused Of Possessing Child Pornography: Police

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck man, Michael A. Santos, 48, of Auburn Street, is accused of possessing child pornography, police said. He is charged with second-degree illegal possession of child pornography. He was released after posting a $7,500 bond.

On April 28, Santos voluntarily surrendered on an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

"The warrant stemmed from an investigation which was initiated in October of 2019 when detectives from the department's Youth Bureau began to investigate possible child pornography being shared by the accused on various social media platforms. As a result of the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for illegal possession of child pornography," Naugatuck police said in a news release.

He was given a court date of June 10.
