Naugatuck Man and Waterbury Man Killed in Waterbury School Bus Accident
Waterbury police say the Naugatuck man lost control of his vehicle and collided with a school bus in Waterbury Tuesday afternoon.
A Naugatuck man, Jeremy Rucker, 24, and a Waterbury man, Michael Maldonado, 23, were killed in a crash in Waterbury Tuesday afternoon involving a school bus, NBC Connecticut reports.
According to NBC Connecticut Rucker was driving a Dodge Dakota pickup truck near Watertown Avenue around 4 p.m. when he crossed over the doubled yellow line and hit the school bus. Maldonado was a passenger in Rucker’s truck.
No students were on the school bus and driver suffered minor injuries. Police are continuing to investigate the crash and have not speculated on why Rucker lost control of his vehicle.
