Naugatuck Man Assaults Victim: Police

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Naugatuck man is accused of assaulting a person and was released on a $10,000 bond, police said. On Jan. 7, Shane Harrison, 22, of Birch Road, was arrested on an arrest warrant stemming from a domestic incident that occurred a few days prior, police said.

During that incident, it was discovered through the investigation that Harrison became involved in an argument with the victim, police said. The incident escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and was choking the victim while also punching the victim in the face, police said.

Harrison is charged with third-degree assault, third-degree strangulation and disorderly conduct.
