Naugatuck Man Charged In Burglaries Of Cookie Shop, Pizzeria: Police

Three people have been arrested in connection with the burglaries of a cookie shop and pizzeria in North Haven, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT β€” Three people have been arrested in connection with the burglaries of a cookie shop and pizzeria in North Haven in September, according to police.

Police responded to Universal Drive on Sept. 30 on the report of a burglary at Crumbl Cookies. Officers found that a forced burglary had occurred, according to police.

Police also found that Inferno Wood Fired Apizza, which is also located within the Home Depot Plaza, was also burglarized.

β€œThe scene was secured by patrol and detectives were assigned to investigate,” police wrote in a news release. β€œK9 Cyrus was utilized for an article search, and was able to locate discarded evidence nearby.

β€œBy working with area police departments, local task force groups, and canvassing the area for CCTV, a suspect vehicle and suspects were developed. After a thorough investigation detectives submitted arrest warrants for three suspects.”

The warrants were approved, and all three were charged in connection with their roles in both burglaries, according to police.

A 17-year-old male from Ansonia was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.

Donnie James, 19, of Bridgeport, was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal mischief.

Dominik Marini, 19, of Naugatuck, was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and first-degree criminal mischief.
